An overcurrent can mean that the charging session has stopped because the vehicle attempted to draw more current than the charger is able to supply.
These values can be found by locating the charger in Fuuse, clicking on the logs tab and selecting meter value. You can view the current offered (which is the amps the charger is offering to the charger) and the current import (the amps the vehicle is trying to draw from the charger).
Typically, chargers are is designed to detect this, present a fault code and stop the session if the vehicle requests more power than the available charging capacity.
What you can do to troubleshoot:
- Try a different charging cable. This can help determine if its the vehicle, cable or charger.
- Check the settings on both the charger and the vehicle. If possible, try reducing the vehicles requested amount so its slightly below the maximum current available. For example, if the charger is offering 32amps and the vehicle is trying to draw 33amps, you can reduce the setting in the vehicle to request 30amps.
- Contact vehicle manufacturer if the issue persists.
