How to Onboard Autel Chargers

This guide that explains how point your EV charger to Fuuse. It is recommended that you set up your charger in Fuuse first, before pointing your charger to Fuuse.

Please note that when you connect your charge point to Fuuse, we become the operator of the charge point. This means that you need to use Fuuse to control the charging process.

 

The OCPP/Serial Number can be found on the side of the charger, typically on a black or silver sticker/label. The serial number is typically a 16 digit code, starting with 'AE'.

1. Download the Autel Config app

First you need to download and install Autel Config app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Login with your Autel credentials

Open the Autel app and login with your credentials. If you do not have these, please contact Autel support.

3. Click on the "+" icon

Access the main page and tap on the "+" icon positioned at the top right corner of the screen.

4. Scan the QR code to add your charge point

Locate and scan the QR code (this appears on the right side of the charge box).

Input the serial number in the designated field (1)

You have two options for the PIN; either scan the QR code available in the Quick Manual or manually enter it (2)

Once you have completed filling in the two fields, proceed by clicking on the "Verify" button (3)

5. Click on the charge point serial number

Upon selecting the serial number of the charge point, the configuration menu will be automatically opened.

6. Choose a Wi-Fi connection

For this step, navigate to the "Wi-Fi Connection" tab and choose a network from the list of available options to connect your charge point.

Once you have selected the network, input the password and wait for the connection to establish.

7. Navigate to "Charge Management Platform"

Once your charge point is successfully connected to the internet, go to the "Charge Management Platform" tab and choose "Fuuse" from the available options.

Note: accepted URLs are as follows:
ws://hw.fuuse.io:9998/
 
You should then see the below - Fuuse Cloud selected, connected and the URL showing as "ws://hw.fuuse.io:9998/{charger serial number}"
If you don't see the charger serial number after "ws://hw.fuuse.io:9998/" then make sure that there is nothing entered into the "Chargebox Identity" box in the Fuuse Cloud details area:
 

8. Add the Appropriate APN Details 

If the charger is to connect to the internet via mobile data, and you are using Fuuse supplied Mobius Telenor SIMs, these are the APN details you need to input:

APN: tel.mobius.cxn
Username: mobiustel
Password: mobiustel

9. Reboot your EV charger

After completing all the necessary steps, a window will appear, prompting you to reboot the charger. Simply click on the "Reboot" button to proceed.

 
Please check if the charger requires a firmware update.
