Chargers - How To Update Your Charger's Firmware In Fuuse

Keeping a chargers firmware up to date is essential to ensure it runs with minimal issues. However doing so can be dangerous if you are unsure of what you are doing. Uploading incorrect firmware to a charger can do serious damage to the unit, so be sure to use only the firmware suggested by the manufacturer for your particular model.

1. Dashboard

Log in to the web portal at app.fuuse.io to get started.

Click the arrow besides "Network" in the side menu on the left to drill into that section. Select "Charging Sites" from the expanded menu. If you know the exact charger you want to update, you can skip ahead a little and select "Chargers" instead and select the charger from the list.

2. Site Details

Find the site that contains the charger you want to update and click "See Details" to continue. 

Alternatively, use the search box to search for the site name, charger name or hardware ID. 

 

 

3. List of EVSE's 

Here you will see a list of all chargers that currently exist for this site. 

Click "See Details" next to the one you want to update. 

 

 

4. Charger Details

On the charger details screen, click the "Actions" tab for a drop-down menu of advanced features and controls for this particular charger. 

Click "Update Firmware" from the menu.

 

 

5. Update Firmware

Here we can enter the details that will allow us to remotely update the firmware of your chosen charger. 

This will vary between charger manufacturer, but they should supply you with a URL web link which can be entered here to trigger the update.

Once entered, click the "Continue" button to begin. Allow some time for the update to complete, at which point you will receive a pop-up confirming whether or not it was successful. 

*Important Note* If you have any doubt about which firmware to use, please do NOT continue. Consult with the manufacturer of the unit until you are certain you have the correct one.
