A guide to the user roles available in the Fuuse portal and what each one can see and do.
Fuuse uses Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to manage what each of your team members can see and do. Instead of giving everyone the same access, you assign each user a role that unlocks only the pages and actions they need for their job.

1. How to assign a role
- In the left-hand menu, browse to "Organisation" › "Users".
- Invite a new user, or select an existing user to edit.
- Choose their role from the list and save.
You can change a user's role at any time.
2. Which roles you have
Every organisation has the core roles: Operator Admin, Operator, Support Plus, Support and Maintenance. A further set of specialist roles — Operations, Finance, Marketing, Fleet Manager and Network Ops — becomes available once the newer permission model is enabled for your organisation. If you'd like these turned on, contact Fuuse support.
3. What each role can access
Manage = create & edit | View = read-only (some safe actions) | — = no access

Some specialist roles Manage only part of an area — for example Finance manages tariffs but only views RFID cards and bookings within Access. The Data Hub is a view-only analytics area available only to Operator Admin, Operator and Operations.
4. What each area means
| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Chargers | Your charge points — viewing, adding/editing/removing, live actions (start, stop, reset, unlock, availability, firmware) and maintenance schedules. |
| Sites | Your physical charging locations — adding, editing, removing and tagging sites. |
| Sessions | Individual charging sessions — viewing, downloading session logs and issuing receipts. |
| Data Hub | Network reliability data and analytics. Availability depends on the Data Hub being enabled for your organisation. |
| Access | Who can charge, when and at what price — access control profiles, RFID cards, bookings and tariffs. |
| Benefits | Rewards and plans for drivers — subscriptions and promotions. |
| Drivers & groups | Driver and vehicle records, and the driver groups you organise them into. |
| Reports | Creating, editing, viewing and downloading reports. |
| Users | The people in your team who use the portal — inviting them and setting their role (not the same as drivers). |
| Org & billing | Your organisation's own details and finances — organisation settings, billing agreements, bank information and revenue statements. |
| Issue log | Logging and managing faults and issues across your chargers and network. |
| Support | The in-portal support hub — knowledge base, contact details and raising a request. |
5. The roles in plain English
Full control
Operator Admin — The account owner. Full access to everything, including organisation settings, billing and managing your team.
Everyday management
Operator — Runs the network day-to-day — sites, chargers, access, tariffs, benefits (subscriptions & promotions), drivers, bookings, reports, team users and the Data Hub. Doesn't change organisation or billing settings.
Operations — Currently identical to Operator (same 66 permissions).
Specialist
Finance — Owns tariffs, subscriptions, promotions and revenue, and can see billing and organisation details. Views the operational side.
Marketing — Runs benefits (subscriptions & promotions), RFID cards, bookings and driver groups, plus reporting. Views the rest.
Fleet Manager — Manages a fleet's chargers, drivers, groups and RFID cards, and sees billing and revenue. No benefits or tariff control.
Support & field
Support — First-line helpdesk. Sees most areas, manages the issue log, and can perform safe charger actions (start/stop, resets, unlock).
Support Plus — Everything Support can do, plus adding drivers and adding them to groups and access profiles.
Maintenance — For field engineers. Chargers (view + actions), maintenance schedules and the issue log only.
Network Ops — Network-wide monitoring across chargers, sessions and access, with charger actions.
Note: Access is under continuous improvement, so the exact actions available to a role may change over time. If you need a user to have a very specific set of permissions, contact the Fuuse support team and we'll help you find the right role.
