1. What an access code does
An access code is a short code you share with your drivers. When a driver enters it in the Fuuse app, they join the driver group and pick up that group's tariffs, permissions and charger access. One code can be used by many drivers, so it's an easy way to onboard a fleet or a workplace.
2. Create a code for a new group
- In the left-hand menu, browse to "Drivers" › "Driver Groups".
- Select "Add new group".
- Enter a "Group name".
- Under "Add drivers", choose "Invite with code". A code is generated for you.
- Set a "Usage limit" (the maximum number of drivers who can join with this code), or tick "No limit".
- Set an "Expiry" date if you want the code to stop working after a certain point.
- Choose how drivers join (see section 4), then select "Create group".
3. Add a code to an existing group
If a group was created before codes existed, you can add one at any time.
- Browse to "Drivers" › "Driver Groups".
- Find the group in the list and select "Generate code", or open it with "See details" and generate the code from the access code area.
- Set the usage limit, expiry and join method as above.
4. Choose how drivers join: automatically or with approval
When you create or edit a code, you choose what happens when a driver enters it:
| Setting | What happens |
|---|---|
| Add automatically | The driver joins the group straight away. |
| Require approval | The driver's request waits for you to approve it before they join. |
5. Share the code with your drivers
Open the group and copy the code from the access code area, then share it with your drivers however you like — email, a staff notice, or your onboarding pack. Codes aren't case-sensitive and the dash is optional, so they're easy to type.
6. Track how many have joined
On the "Driver Groups" list, each group shows its code and how much of the limit has been used (for example, 34 of 50). Open a group to see the full "Joined via code" log, which records each driver, when they joined, and whether they joined automatically or were approved.
7. Approve or reject requests
If the code is set to "Require approval", requests appear in the "Pending approvals" list on the group.
- Open the group with "See details".
- In "Pending approvals", review each driver.
- Select "Approve" to add them to the group, or "Reject" to decline. Approved drivers count towards the usage limit; rejected ones do not.
8. Manage, pause or regenerate a code
From the group's access code area you can copy the code, edit the usage limit or expiry, pause the code so no one else can join, or regenerate it. Regenerating creates a new code and immediately stops the old one working, so share the new code with anyone who still needs it.
| Code status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Drivers can join with the code. |
| Paused | You've paused the code; no one can join until you resume it. |
| Expired | The expiry date has passed; the code no longer works. |
| Limit reached | The usage limit has been used up; raise the limit to let more drivers join. |
Note: drivers enter the code from the "Account" tab in the Fuuse app — see the separate guide, "Joining a driver group with an access code". If anything looks wrong, contact the Fuuse support team and include the group name.
