Some newly onboarded chargers can default to local freevend mode when added to Fuuse. This means they allow free charging (also known as "plug and charge") without requiring authentication from Fuuse.
A common indication that a charger is in local freevend mode is when its status shows as "Charging", but no corresponding session appears in the charging/session logs.
The steps below will show you:
- How to identify if a charger is in freevend mode
- How to locate the relevant freevend tag in the charger configuration
- How to disable freevend if required
Note: Not all charger make/models use the same label for the freevend setting. The field name may vary depending on the manufacturer. In the example below, we are working with an ABL charger.
Please always consult with your charger manufacturer before changing any configuration settings.
