1. Before you start
Fleet cards let your drivers charge at public chargers. Each card is unique and belongs to one named driver.
- Your organisation must have public charging included in its Fleet 360 package. If you can't see the "Fleet Cards" tab, contact the Fuuse support team.
- A driver must have public charging access before you can order or assign a card for them. You can turn this on when you add the driver, or later from the "Drivers" tab using "Manage Access".
- A fee applies to each first-issue card and to each replacement card. The portal shows the total before you confirm your order.
2. Order fleet cards for several drivers
- In the portal, go to the dashboard and select the "Fleet" tab.
- Select "Actions" › "Order Fleet Cards".
- In the "Order Fleet Cards for Public Charging" window, search for drivers by name or email address and select each driver who needs a card. To order for every eligible driver, tick "Select All Drivers".
Only drivers with public charging access appear in the search. To remove a driver from the order, select "Remove" next to their name. - Check the summary. It shows how many drivers you've selected and the total your organisation will be charged.
- Choose a delivery option:
- "Deliver to the office": enter the delivery address, town or city and postcode. All cards are sent to this address.
- "Allow drivers to order from the mobile app to their home address": each driver orders their own card in the Fuuse app, and it is sent to their home.
- Select "Confirm Order".
You'll see a confirmation once the order has been submitted. The cards then appear in the "Fleet Cards" tab.
Tip: when you add drivers with public charging access, the portal also offers to order their fleet cards straight away. Select "I'll do it later" if you'd rather order them later.
3. Order a fleet card for one driver
- On the "Fleet" tab, select the "Drivers" tab.
- Find the driver and select the three dots (…) at the end of their row.
- Select "Manage Fleet Card". (If this option is greyed out, the driver doesn't have public charging access yet. Use "Manage Access" to turn it on first.)
- In the "Order a Fleet Card" window, check the driver's name and email, then choose a delivery option (office or the driver's home via the mobile app).
- Select "Place Order".
4. Activate a fleet card
A card can't be used for charging until it has been activated. You can activate it in either of these ways:
| Option | Who does it | How |
|---|---|---|
| In the Fuuse app | The driver | Usually used when the card is delivered to the driver's home. Once the card arrives, the driver opens the Fuuse app, goes to "My Charge Cards", selects "Activate Card" and enters the activation number from the back of the card. |
| In the portal | The fleet manager | Usually used when cards are delivered to the office. Use "Reassign" on the "Fleet Cards" tab (see section 5). This assigns and activates the card for the driver, so they don't need to do anything in the app. |
If you chose office delivery, each card is linked to the driver you ordered it for. Use the "Fleet Card ID" in the "Fleet Cards" tab to match each physical card to its driver, activate it with "Reassign", then hand the card to the driver.
When a card has been activated, its "Card Status" changes to "Active".
5. Assign or reassign a fleet card to a driver
"Reassign" assigns a card that hasn't been activated yet to a driver and activates it for them straight away, without the driver needing to log into the app. Use it to:
- activate cards delivered to the office for the drivers they were ordered for
- give a card that hasn't been activated to a different driver, for example if a driver leaves before their card is activated
- On the "Fleet" tab, select the "Fleet Cards" tab.
- Find the card. You can search by driver name, email address or fleet card ID.
- Select the three dots (…) at the end of the row, then select "Reassign".
- In the "Reassign Fleet Card" window, search for the driver by name or email address and select them. You can choose one driver per card. To pick someone else, select "Remove" and search again.
- Select "Reassign".
Please don't leave the page while the card is being reassigned. When it's finished, you'll see a confirmation and the card's status will change to "Active".
Good to know:
- "Reassign" is greyed out for cards that are already "Active". To give an active driver a new card, use "Manage Fleet Card" (see section 6).
- Only drivers with public charging access appear in the search.
- If the reassignment fails, you'll see an error ID. Send this to the Fuuse support team so they can investigate.
6. Replace or cancel a fleet card
- On the "Fleet Cards" tab (or the "Drivers" tab), select the three dots (…) next to the card or driver, then select "Manage Fleet Card".
- To cancel the existing card, select "Cancel Card". This permanently cancels the driver's access to that card and can't be undone.
- To order a replacement, open "Manage Fleet Card" on the cancelled card, choose a delivery option in the "Order a Replacement Card" window and place the order. A replacement fee applies.
7. Fleet card statuses
You can see each card's status in the "Card Status" column of the "Fleet Cards" tab.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Inactive | The driver has public charging access but no card has been ordered yet (shown on the "Drivers" tab). |
| Pending | The order is waiting to be processed. |
| Ordered | The card has been ordered but hasn't been activated yet. |
| Shipped | The card is on its way. |
| Active | The card has been activated and can be used for public charging. |
| Cancelled | The card has been permanently cancelled and can't be used. You can order a replacement. |
| Failed | Something went wrong with the order. Please contact support. |
Note: to find out how drivers use their card, see How to order and activate your Paua fleet card and Charging at public chargers with your fleet card. If you need help, contact the Fuuse support team and include any error ID shown in the portal.
